Indelible Moments: 1970s Street Photographs from Two Cultures
The photographs in this 200pp book highlight the people and artifacts of two cultures during a singular time of the 20th century. The first section of the book presents photographs from Columbia, Ecuador, and Peru in 1971 and 1972. A second section shows photos from the central, east, and southern US around the same period.
There are quite a few more photographs in the book than are shown on the “50 Years Ago…” sections of this website. Even so, many of the photographs are posted here.
In addition to an introduction and some written details at the end, the book is filled with annotations that provide insight into the photographs, street photography, and the era.
Although the book printing appears to be black and white, it is instead printed with a four-color process. This gives the photos better blacks and a warmer and richer quality. Unfortunately, this raises the costs of printing considerably. To keep the cost of purchasing it to a minimum, I am selling this book a little below the per unit cost of printing.
How much does the book cost?
$25
If you live near me or can pick it up from me somehow, that’s all there is to it.
Can you ship it to me?
Yes, in the lower 48 US states, the shipping cost is $7.
Again, that is about what it costs me. Outside of the lower 48 states, ask me.
